GBA may share this personal information with companies who provide services such as information processing, fulfilling catalog orders, providing pre-/post- and on-program services, managing and enhancing customer data and conducting customer research or satisfaction surveys. GBA follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any personally identifiable information. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
We periodically survey our catalog requesters and program participants for their academic and travel interests to help us improve the types of travel programs we offer. In conducting these surveys, we may ask for certain personal information so that we can identify and, if requested, contact you. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary.
